A Hard Day’s Night was released on 10 July 1964 and was the first Beatles album to feature entirely original songs written by the songwriting partnership of John Lennon and Paul McCartney. The cover consists of a grid of black-and-white photographs of the four Beatles taken by photographer Robert Freeman.
