Sonic Youth’s seventh studio album, Dirty, is one of the band’s most accessible and influential records, bringing their experimental guitar sound into the alternative rock mainstream without sacrificing the noise, distortion and unpredictability that defined them.

Released in July 1992 and produced with Butch Vig, Dirty followed Goo and features some of Sonic Youth’s best-known songs, including 100%, Swimsuit Issue, Sugar Kane, Youth Against Fascism and Drunken Butterfly.

The original vinyl edition is a double LP containing 16 tracks, with Stalker appearing as an additional track on the original vinyl release. The US pressing carries the DGC catalogue number DGC-24485.
