Who we are & why it matters.
Hello — my name is Tony Pill, and music has been my business since 1989.
Until 2000 I operated a music store here in Tauranga. I sold the business, which was unfortunately closed three years later. I’ve since brought it back under the original name — Record Roundabout — and we’re proud to be based in the Historic Village on Seventeenth Avenue.
We’re not a chain store. We don’t carry duplicate stock or play it safe with mainstream titles. What we carry is carefully chosen — and when a rare title comes in, we often have just one copy.

A passion for music
from the 1950s to today.
My interest in music began at a very young age — and it has never stopped.
We deal in limited edition picture discs, coloured vinyl imports, rare and collectible LPs and 45s, hard-to-find CDs, and music memorabilia spanning seven decades. If it was pressed, it’s likely we know about it.
Limited edition picture discs and coloured vinyl are a particular speciality — we source new and import pressings that simply don’t appear in mainstream stores.
